Neuberger Berman Client Reporting & Analytics Associate in Chicago, Illinois
Summary:
The candidate will play an integral role within the Fixed Income Client Reporting & Portfolio Analytics team based in Chicago. This individual will be supporting the East Asia client portfolios across various strategies and will be responsible for compiling portfolio and market specific materials, including market and institutional client reporting, macro-economic exhibits, bespoke institutional client exhibits, portfolio and product analytics, and portfolio review materials. The associate will partner with East Asia Client Reporting, Client Service, Marketing, RFP and Legal teams and will be involved in a variety of strategic and tactical initiatives with the ability to gain meaningful exposure to projects across the fixed income platform
Responsibilities:
Understand investment grade, high yield and opportunistic strategies with requisite depth to prepare monthly client report packages and presentations for East Asia clients
Function as a point of contact for Tokyo client service team regarding portfolio positioning and commentary inquires
Collaborate with investment teams and client service on commentary, client inquiries, client development and RFP’s
Develop proficiency in key reporting tools; develop report content and partner with IT to drive enhancements to the end-client deliverables
Participate in firm wide, client service related strategic initiatives
Utilize macros and programming to run monthly reporting process
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Science, Math, Economics preferred
4+ years post-graduate experience in asset management or related area, preferred
Knowledge of financial markets, fixed income in particular, interest in investment strategies and security analysis
Analytical and comfortable working with and interpreting statistics and fixed income market data, specifically with performance attribution
Ability to communicate effectively and incorporate feedback based on instructions from investment, sales and legal teams
Excellent attention to detail and accountability, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Highly motivated team-player with a desire to work on a wide range of projects, collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Experience in maintenance and construction of macros, VBA scripts, and highly formula-driven spreadsheets (including pivot tables) required, additional programming skills (SQL, Python) is a plus
Experience with Bloomberg, Vermillion, Blackrock Aladdin, or other analytics/reporting system preferred
