Neuberger Berman Portfolio Specialist - Investment Grade Fixed Income in Chicago, Illinois

Summary :

The successful candidate will join the Fixed Income team to work as a Portfolio Specialist, supporting Neuberger Berman’s suite of Investment Grade Fixed Income strategies across our global Institutional and Intermediary channels.

Responsibilities :

  • Serves as the commercial champion of the Investment Grade Fixed Income family of products at Neuberger Berman including but not limited to Core/Core Plus, Short Duration/Enhanced Cash, IG Corporate Credit, Rates & Government Bonds, TIPS/Global Inflation linked and Securitized product.

  • Accountable for all non-investment related responsibilities concerning these investment grade products; including but not limited to the development of clear and effective marketing collateral, responding to information requests, client servicing requests and materials, vehicles & product development, fees, and marketplace positioning.

  • Provide strategic and tactical support to the Investment Grade FI investment team on an ongoing basis.

  • External client-facing responsibilities can exist as the candidate settles into the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications :

  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analytics.

  • Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, writing, and project management skills.

  • Commercial orientation with ability to understand and articulate complex topics.

  • Passion for markets and investing; familiarity with macroeconomics and investing; solid knowledge of fixed income concepts (yield, spreads, duration recommended).

  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and highly collaborative global firm. This role will serve as a critical nexus to the firm’s investment teams, sales teams as well as operations, legal, risk and marketing.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience of working in financial markets.

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials.
