Neuberger Berman Portfolio Analyst in London, United Kingdom

The Team: The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative Portfolio Management team, which is focused on the hybrid capital market. The Role: As a Portfolio Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Portfolio Managers in the day-to-day management of portfolios. Your responsibilities will include daily cashflow management, portfolio guideline monitoring, maintenance of valuation screening tools, and contribute to ad-hoc research projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Portfolio Managers in managing hybrid debt securities portfolios.

  • Align portfolio positions across mandates, manage daily cash flows, and instruct appropriate hedges.

  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance, risks, and compliance with investment guidelines.

  • Maintain and over time develop valuation and screening tools for hybrid debt securities.

  • Collaborate with traders to systematically screen for switch ideas.

  • Respond to client requests.

  • Contribute to the creation of pitchbook materials for client presentations and marketing purposes.

  • Support and contribute to research projects aimed at enhancing portfolio strategies.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field is preferred, e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

  • Strong quantitative skills.

  • VBA and Python programming skills are a plus.

  • Candidates with experience in Aladdin might have an edge due to their familiarity with the specific tools and processes associated with this platform.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Collaborative team player.

  • Proactive and takes initiatives to improve processes and workflows.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
