Neuberger Berman Alternatives Investor Relations Specialist in New York, New York

Summary

As a member of the North American Intermediary Sales team, the primary responsibility of the Alternatives Investor Relations Specialist is to support Senior Alternatives Specialists to build and maintain Neuberger’s growing Alternatives franchise across the Intermediary Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Alternative Specialists in all aspects of building and maintaining client relationships with partner firms, their sales teams, and their Advisors, across NB’s Intermediary Platform.

  • Develop strong relationships with groups across NB’s Alternatives platform to articulate investment strategies, resolve client requests and manage deadlines. Ensure a superior client experience by being both proactive and responsive when interacting with partners.

  • Heavy outbound calls focused on Fund updates, relationship building, prospecting, uncovering/closing sales opportunities, setting up sales appointments, follow-up, and client service.

  • Act as a resource to advisors by developing and maintaining strong knowledge of Neuberger Berman products, competitive intelligence, industry trends, and trends within each of our partner firm and their advisors.

  • Participate in due diligence calls with clients, assist with call notes and follow up items in a timely manner.

  • Assist with client database ( SalesForce.com ) management and identification of new prospects.

  • Analyze competitive landscape and portfolio characteristics across strategies for ongoing product innovation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Academic Achievement.

  • 1-3 years asset management sales or marketing experience (intermediary or institutional experience preferred).

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow up skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize multiple projects, coordinating with numerous internal/external groups.

  • Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and SalesForce.

  • Team player and highly motivated.

  • Strong interest in investments, investment products, asset allocation and capital markets.

  • Enjoys a fast paced, high intensity environment.

  • Series 7, 63 and 65 or Series 7 and 66 licenses required within 90 days of employment.

  • Progress toward CFA designation or willingness to pursue is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
