Neuberger Berman Analyst, Compensation & Analytics in New York, New York


Neuberger Berman is looking for an Analyst to join the Compensation & Analytics team in Human Capital Management. This person will work closely with the rest of the team to analyze data and trends, design and implement dashboards, administer executive compensation and assist with annual compensation processes and ad hoc reporting.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain, audit, and analyze human capital data

  • Design and deliver meaningful and repeatable metrics and dashboards to support the broader HCM function and senior management (including, but not limited to, workforce activity, headcount forecasting, diversity, etc.)

  • Learn the architecture of various spreadsheets, databases, and systems to maximize the quality, consistency, and efficiency of reporting

  • Partner with clients to collect and analyze compensation benchmarking data

  • Work with third party administrators on deferred compensation and equity

  • Model compensation and assist in the year-end compensation process

  • Provide routine weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Compensation, Accounting, Data Management, Financial Planning or related experience; Financial Services experience a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFS, nested ifs, etc.) with the ability to analyze multiple, large data sets and present results coherently and concisely; knowledge of PowerPoint and Workday preferred

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage projects both independently and collaboratively

  • Exemplary communication skills – both written and verbal

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and discretion
