Neuberger Berman Client Service Analyst in New York, New York


The Private Fund Client Service Team is a niche coverage group providing client service and operational support for the firm’s private funds. The team’s mandate is to partner with various internal teams, as well as external fund administrators, to provide our private fund investors with a consistent client service experience. This requires a deep understanding of the product as well as operational process flow oversight and execution. The Client Service Associate’s scope of work will include ownership of the subscription/redemption process, day-to-day management of client inquiries and requests, management of our fund administrator relationships, and production and dissemination of client/regulatory/shareholder services reporting as well as investor communications. The Associate will be an integral part of the three-person Private Fund Client Service Team performing various operational and client service functions as described below:


  • Understand the Firm’s Private Fund offerings in order to effectively deliver superior client service

  • Coordinate the subscription, capital call, and redemption process as well as maintain/distribute investor kits

  • Partner with Fund Administrators to ensure proper adherence to fund terms as outlined in the offering materials, investor commitments, and regulations

  • Manage group mailboxes (as assigned) utilized for communication with both internal groups and external investors/counterparties

  • Manage existing client account maintenance and transfers

  • Draft and coordinate the distribution of client communications

  • Manage internal posting of reports and marketing materials

  • Assist with special projects as assigned

  • Drive continual improvement via process enhancements


  • Excellent client service skills, including sound business judgment and understanding of escalation procedures

  • High attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Registered Funds a plus

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong collaboration, time management, and organizational skills

  • Able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure

  • Understanding of Asset Management strategies, Investment Mandates and Fund Accounting

  • Experience working with Financial Intermediaries and/or Fund Administrator preferable, but not required
