Neuberger Berman Developer III, Private Equity Finance in New York, New York

Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on developer with strong C#, Python, MS SQL Server and Web Application experience that will help us develop modern end-to-end business solutions. This role will assist with the design, planning and execution of the Private Equity Finance platform.

We are looking for a self-directed developer with strong business knowledge of Finance and a proven track record of advanced programming. An ideal candidate is someone who has worked with accounting or fund controllers, understanding financial closes and developed tools to help support those finance functions within Private Equity. Someone who is comfortable to manage the development and implementation of tools, data feeds and other business related needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust, architecturally sound solutions for the Finance team within the Alternative Investments Technology team

  • Optimize data feeds from fund administrators and other third-party data providers

  • Design and build streamlined methods of accessing financial data including but not limited to Performance, AUM, Valuation and other accounting data sets

  • Drive future state technology architecture utilizing cloud technologies

  • Manage the relevant technology streams of firm’s larger strategic initiatives

  • Provide oversight of all solutions and architecture developed, conduct code-reviews, and mentor developers

  • Partner with other technologists to collaborate, communicate, and gain consensus over ideal technology solutions

  • Seamlessly partner with Application Service Delivery group, who have accountability for Delivery & Service Management

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA Degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years)

  • Broad, hands-on experience using C#, Python, ASP.Net and MS SQL Server

  • Extensive business knowledge of Finance and sub-verticals within

  • Strong understanding of databases - Snowflake knowledge is a plus

  • Familiarity with Microservice design patterns and Web API development including Swagger

  • Ability to lead technical design and work management skills

  • Experience in accounting platforms such as Geneva or Investran a plus

  • Experience developing on AWS or Azure is a plus

  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment a plus

  • Experience with any ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS is plus

  • Experience with DevOps toolsets such as VSTS, JIRA, Git, or similar

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$140,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
