Neuberger Berman ETF Capital Markets & Middle Office Operations Associate in New York, New York

Summary:

The ETF Capital Markets & Middle Office Operations Associate will support the firm’s new ETF range from a capital markets perspective. The successful candidate will support ongoing capital market activity for the ETF range (including basket design and implementation) and assist the execution desk & PMs with trading related inquiries. The associate will also play a key role in the daily support of portfolio management and post trade execution for alternatives, derivatives, and hedge fund strategies. Additionally, the associate will assist with designing & implementing process improvements and enhancements for the broader firm. The Specialist will function as a primary point of contact for PM`s here at Neuberger Berman.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with NB ETF Capital Markets & ETF market participants (A/P, Market Markers, Exchanges) to help foster a healthy trading environment for the Neuberger Berman ETF range

  • Work directly with clients to answer questions related to ETF trading

  • On a daily basis work closely with Operations, Accounting, Trading, Prime Brokers as well as internal and external portfolio managers

  • Working closely with the fund administrators to provide support and oversight in the NAV creation process

  • Perform a variety of daily and monthly reconciliations, i.e. position reconciliation, open repo recon, open swap, cash, etc.

  • Develop and monitor oversight polices, SLAs and metrics for outsourced and or insourced functions supporting hedge fund strategies

  • Review, research, and resolve various books & records exceptions daily

  • Monitor Treasury and Collateral Management exposures

  • Investigation and resolution of issues and questions arising from the PnL reporting

  • Maintain counterparty metrics, costs and financing rates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Licenses required; Series 7, 55 & 66 (63 &65 equivalent)

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills required with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of the operational aspects of fixed income products, cash, OTC derivatives, and their related standard settlement mechanisms

  • Detailed understanding of how all P&L components are calculated across all security types

  • Working knowledge of Aladdin, Charles River, & Eze is a plus

  • Strong overall understanding of ETF structure and trading

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, Accountable with excellent attention to detail

  • Team player, high energy, self-starter, and ability to work with a large team across the firm
