Neuberger Berman ETF Product Manager in New York, New York
The ETF Product Manager is an important newly created role at Neuberger Berman to support the firm’s new ETF range. The individual will serve as a primary representative of the ETF business, engaging with prospective clients and internal Neuberger Berman personnel (especially NB Client Coverage Teams).
The primary role of the ETF Product Manager is to serve as a link between the ETF complex and Client Coverage to provide competitive insights to help develop current and future market opportunities across the ETF platform. Working with the Product Development team, the candidate will also be responsible for all functions related to maintaining a healthy ETF product line with a goal of ensuring that products are successfully designed, priced, positioned, launched, and supported to maximize sales and profitably increase assets under management. A key near-term goal is to work with client coverage to help drive flows in the intermediary channel for the new fund range.
Work with Client Coverage to support distribution for the ETF Platform, with a focus on general distribution matters
Work directly with clients as appropriate to answer questions or help facilitate ETF business
Meet with gatekeepers and research folks
Educate sales teams
For technical matters consult with ETF Capital Markets Specialist)
Develop research and content to help build marketing materials, collateral, white papers, etc.
Market commentary (working with Investment Management teams)
Fact sheets and commentary
Serve as a resident expert on ETFs and help develop and build internal awareness of the NB ETF platform
Develop and oversee Sales Force education
Train Client Coverage on ETFs in general and specifics related to the NB ETF platform
Partner with Product Development, the ETF Capital Markets Specialist and Client Coverage teams to evaluate the viability of new product ideas
Help evaluate new product ideas from a distribution perspective (i.e., can we sell it?, do investors want it?, etc.)
Assist in ongoing Product Management for the NB ETF Range
Evaluate ongoing performance (from perspective both investor and issuer)
Identify need for ongoing product actions
Provide overall general support to the ongoing management and growth of the business
7-10 years of experience in asset management, including 5+ years of experience working with ETFs, with a substantial amount of experience focused on ETF Product Management or ETF Sales
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA, CFA and/ or CAIA preferred
Series 7 required; [Other registrations TBD]
Strong understanding of ETF structure and marketplace, including competitive landscape, client perspectives and overall positioning
Strong knowledge of ETF Sales
Ability to work effectively within the firm broadly. This role will require a great deal of interaction with the Firm’s portfolio management, Client Coverage, Marketing, Product, Fund Administration, Trading and Operations teams
Strong written and oral communication skills, Accountable with excellent attention to detail
Team player, high energy, self-starter
