Neuberger Berman High Net Worth Reconciliation Operations Analyst in New York, New York
The Private Wealth Management (PMW) Portfolio Services Team within PWM Neuberger Berman Operations is responsible for the research and resolution of discrepancies identified during the reconciliation of our internal accounting records and external parties. This role supports a rapidly growing business working closely with internal and external parties to resolve all issues in a timely manner. This individual should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. The group is additionally tasked with oversight responsibilities of insourced and outsourced functions that support these clients. The ideal candidate for this role is expected to have a detailed understanding of different investment products, valuation, risk and trade life cycle management.
Daily reconciliation to the records of our clients’ custodians:
Client’s consist of PWM & Trust clients
The reconciliation consists of the review of settled transactions, pending transactions, accrued income, security positions, and market value. Will also include cost basis reconciliation/maintenance
Working knowledge of SunGard Addvantage, Broadridge Proactive, and Bloomberg highly valued
Various ad hoc projects as needed
B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
0-3+ years’ experience with middle office, reconciliation, investment bank or prime broker required
Excellent time management and organizational skills required with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
Must be detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and research skills
Must be proficient in Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate and take initiative with little or no direction
General product knowledge (Equities, FX, Fixed Income, Options, Bank Debt, Mutual Funds, etc.) a plus
Basic understanding and working knowledge of the operational aspects of fixed income products, cash, equities, and their related standard settlement mechanisms a plus
