Neuberger Berman Paralegal in New York, New York

Summary:

NB Private Markets manages approximately $70bn collectively across private equity and fund of hedge funds products. The private equity platform manages over $60bn in commitments across a variety of products, including private equity fund of funds, secondary, co-investment, private credit, and cash yield-oriented strategies.

The Paralegal should have a desire to work in a vibrant and fast growing private equity business. The ideal candidate will have the agility and poise to work in a high-volume, dynamic environment and “ride herd” over a team of counsel (both internal and external) and business people in order to ensure transactions, entity formation, AML requests, account openings and a variety of other functions are properly and timely executed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review documentation, like formation documents, for various private equity funds

  • Organize and maintain entity management and group documents

  • Coordinate execution of documents

  • Prepare organizational structure charts for AML requests

  • Assist in preparing documents for, and answering, AML requests from, third party fund sponsors, banks, clients etc.

  • Prepare regulatory filings in various jurisdictions

  • Interact with clients and senior management across a variety of internal groups

  • Liaise with finance and accounting to facilitate account openings and fund and transaction closings

  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 2 years of work experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Ability to perform in fast paced environment

  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented

  • Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

  • Resourceful and able to handle multiple and changing priorities

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management

  • Must be teamwork oriented and also be able to work independently

  • Notary license is a plus

  • Law firm, private equity or general financial services experience is a plus

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$125,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
