Neuberger Berman Portfolio Analyst - Multi-Asset in New York, New York

Summary:

The NB Multi-Asset team manages a range of investment strategies that leverage the depth and breadth of the Neuberger Berman investment platform to build solutions that pursue our clients’ long-term investment objectives. Using a dynamic investment process, the Multi-Asset team offers a range of strategies such as relative return, absolute return, income, public-private and ESG portfolios. The Multi-Asset team also collaborates closely with senior investors across the firm, to produce investment insights and outlooks for use by a broad audience of clients and prospect globally.

For this role, the team seeks a candidate with an intellectual curiosity and passion for financial markets and investment strategies. This person will demonstrate excellent written skills and broad investment acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of key time sensitive deliverables to clients and will support the Multi-Asset team’s business growth, particularly by assisting in the creation of customized materials for client opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce written commentaries related to multi-asset client portfolios and funds, including performance and positioning as well as market performance summaries and outlooks

  • Contribute to creation of customized client presentations and update regularly produced marketing materials

  • Respond to client questionnaires, RFPs, RFIs, due diligence questionnaires, market surveys and ad-hoc inquiries

  • Coordinate closely with internal groups (legal, client reporting, operations) to execute on key deliverables

  • Support multi-asset portfolio management effort through basic modeling and market analysis

  • Build an in-depth understanding of the team’s offerings and investment capabilities in order to serve as an internal product specialist

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 1-3 years’ experience at an asset management firm

  • Working knowledge of macroeconomics and global financial markets

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, marketing preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute well under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly a demonstrated ability to write about investment markets and macroeconomic trends to a sophisticated institutional level audience

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Bloomberg

  • Preference for a candidate who has passed or plans to take CFA Level 1

  • Experience with GPT prompt engineering and/or basic coding is preferred

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
