Neuberger Berman Senior Manager, Recruiting & Internal Mobility in New York, New York


The Senior Manager, Recruiting & Internal Mobility will partner with our business leaders and be responsible for sourcing and hiring all levels of talent for Neuberger Berman with a primary focus in the US. The position will directly lead search efforts on a wide portfolio of job openings, across levels and functions. This role is responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment process including partnering with managers to define job requirements, establishing the recruiting strategy, defining the roadmap, driving the sourcing and selection processes, developing the branding approach, measuring results and ensuring high quality candidate and internal constituent experience. This role will be accountable for diversity recruitment and will partner closely with our Equity, Inclusion and Diversity (EID) team.


  • Manage and lead a broad portfolio of openings throughout the NB platform (across levels and functions)

  • Provide market insights, intelligence and talent advisory to managers

  • Develop sourcing strategies to increase passive, qualified and diverse candidates

  • Promote equity, diversity and inclusion (EID) in all aspects of recruitment and drive programs which ensure hiring practices attract diverse candidates

  • Build credibility and strong relationships with hiring managers and senior leaders through understanding business platforms and hiring plans

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in recruiting through technology, tools, policies and practices.

  • Oversee NB programs such as internal mobility, internships, referrals, interview training, etc.

  • Negotiate contracts and offers with expertise

  • Manage recruitment budget and reporting / metrics; play a key role in headcount planning and reporting working closely with HCM Compensation, Finance and business leaders.


  • Advanced expertise in recruiting / talent acquisition across businesses, functions and levels

  • Extensive experience in direct sourcing with a focus on investment/client facing roles and overall integrated diversity sourcing.

  • Skilled in influencing and in being a transformative, innovative leader

  • Strong client relationship and communication skills

  • A problem solver who can adapt to various situations and working styles

  • Expert partner-firm management (search firm and other partner/souring organization expertise)

  • Strong negotiating experience/skills

  • Experience with recruiting technologies (Workday, LinkedIn, etc.)
