Position Overview

We are seeking trainee who will be working hands-on with Neuberger Berman’s Quant Team on existing research (live models) and development projects. The Quant Team is interested in all aspects of Machine Learning including predictive modelling, pattern recognition, clustering, time series analysis, natural language processing. You will receive feedback and mentoring throughout the program to ensure you get the most out of the experience. This opportunity provides the chance to gain unique insights into the industry and building strategies.

As the Trainee in the Fixed Income team, you will work with more senior members of the team and be exposed to a variety of tasks including:

What you will be involved in

Applying and extending existing results in the broad field of machine learning

Managing all aspects of the research process including methodology selection, data collection, cleaning and analysis, implementation and testing, prototyping, and performance evaluation

Presenting project findings in front of the portfolio management team regularly

Key Qualifications

MSc or PhD candidate in machine learning, computer science, statistics, or a related field

Strong scientific programming in Python (preferred) or R or MATLAB
